Yes, anyone and everyone, as long as they are Canadian or a permanent resident!
For many years the CFC had a
detailed set of rules about who could play, which were completely ignored. Starting in 2011, new rules will be enforced, so 2010 is the very last year that the CYCC is open to everyone.
This is not to say everyone should play in a national tournament.
For one thing, this IS the national championship. You may be a big fish in the local small pond, but the national championship is the biggest pond we have.
For another thing, the entry fee is $200 (with a $25 discount for early birds). Why so expensive? $125 of each entry fee goes to pay for the winners to travel to the World Youth Championships.
